The Independent Glass Association (IGA) is a community of people - independent glass shops, industry representatives, educators and technicians - committed to safety and proper repair or replacement. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, we strive to advance the automotive glass repair and replacement industry and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of quality service to positively change people's lives.
The Independent Glass Association (IGA) Auto Glass Technician Training Program is a comprehensive, industry-leading online training initiative, designed to equip technicians with essential skills and advanced expertise in auto glass repair and replacement. Comprised of ten foundational modules and four advanced modules, the program is rooted in the ANSI-approved Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS), recognized across the industry for promoting best practices and safety.
This self-paced program provides a wealth of study aids and information, ensuring participants can effectively grasp the technical and safety concepts needed for their roles. Each module culminates in a section test, reinforcing learning and preparing technicians for real-world applications. In addition, the program includes ongoing education requirements, enabling participants to maintain their knowledge, stay updated on industry standards, and enhance their professional growth continuously. Whether new to the field or a seasoned professional, the IGA program offers a robust, flexible learning experience tailored to meet the demands of modern auto glass technicians.
